Looking to Lose Weight BMF Part 17
People, let me first thank you all again for reading, and noticing the weight changes happening in my life. This year, I have lost 3/4 of a stone. Im absolutely happy with the speed. Tonight even, Mel mentioned he noticed the difference in my efforts and also the ever present Jon was there with his hand on my shoulder giving me that support.
I missed Monday night’s blog, but rest assured I was there, Josh was back from his New York trip, and keen to make us pay for his break, with blood sweat and tears. The long and short of it was that he smashed the squats and I was completely knackered. He even threw in the interval type training I am going to undertake for myself, sprint walk, sprint walk. I get the idea, from my weightlifting days, that this is about technique and getting it right, not rushing and cheating. Josh the pain in my knees and thighs really hurt and I cant thank you enough, Biatchhhhhh! Even Stef said she suffered from that session.
On to tonight, we had Josh again and two newbies. Iv noticed Im last in any running exercises, but other exercises, I am not coming in last now, which is great, and you might even hear me giving others some words of encouragement when they are suffering. I suffer the same as everyone else, but I am not going to give in.
Tonight we blessed with an upper body work out, masses of press ups ands presses and nasty stuff like that. Not a lot to report other than it wasnt to bad. Definitely not one of those bad arse sessions that leave me wheezing and struggling. I have noticed an old knee injury is playing me up a little bit. Definitely some days now, especially in the evening I find myself limping. Note to self, keep an eye on it and maybe see the docs, although last time not a lot was done, I needed a new knee but was too young and I suppose overweight.
I thoroughly recommend British Military Fitness, whilst it is extremely hard, it is controlled and measured and expertly done. It is team building and friendly and most of all enjoyable and addictive. A strange side effect is that I tend not to eat nearly so much as I used to, in fact, people have actually noticed me leaving food on my plate. So, once again I thank you all for reading and noticing the changes in me, that is very motivating. I very much look forward to seeing you in the summer, when I plan to be in shorts, tee shirt and a different colour vest, (that fits).
