I turned up at Jacksons Field last night (Bank holiday). As soon as I switched the engine off it started raining, and I knew I was in for a crappy night. It turned out that there was three of us, two blue bibs and the instructor Josh.
I definitely knew I was in for a crappy night. The theory was, he could work us hard and test us as red bibs and correct technique. Im not one for text speak in actual writing, but OMG! The warm up had some hideous thing where we had to cross jump across the path, then touch the floor with hands, and variations thereof. Inevitably I was knackered with the jumps. My worst exercise is burpees with the jump and get down and up. A series of runs followed with one burpee just to mess with my mind. Although, it was my first time BMF with a pair of trainers on. I have to say since I normally wear heavy boots it was much easier in the trainers, which was the whole idea behind wearing boots.
We then moved into the kiddies play park, bear in mind, its now raining and everyone has gone home leaving just us idiots out to play. There was a nasty exercise using the swing, holding it at arms length and sitting back at about 45 degrees, being supported by the swing, then squatting right down and using the swing to help come back up. Nasty! Once we had done about a bazillion of these, Josh threw in some runs round the park for good measure using lunges, equally nasty and knocking one from rep count on squats starting at ten.
I managed to get down to five, but was pretty much shot to bits, some nasty situps and variations of situps followed, with press ups and tricep dips. Did I enjoy the session no!, where were you Jon.
Bit stiff and sore this morning and my feet really hurt again, so back to square one with those. First time in ages I can get along on Wednesday as well, so Im looking forward to that, not!

This is a good system for getting fit and pushing yourself. I could probably look back over all the exercises I have done, and do them myself. The difference being that I probably wouldnt push myself as hard as happens at BMF. I still love it, even though it is a nasty business, but nothing is for nothing. Anyone interested, I did manage a captain chunder last night. So see you all on wednesday
