Looking to Lose Weight BMF Part 22
Looking to lose weight BMF Part 22
Bit of a two parter tonight since I missed last weeks blog, simply because it was the fitness challenge. Some of you may remember I turned out on a Saturday back in November for my first ever test. It was horrendous and took me about 18mins 30secs as I recall. My test this time was 12mins and 4 secs. Now that is a big improvement in physical recovery. So for those of you who think you cant do it, thats a near 23 stone geezer getting up off his behind and doing as Im told and not giving up, one to two times a week as I have been able. In that time I have lost a stone. To be honest, I expected to smash the weight off, but I havent really focussed on food, although it is pinging on the radar now. I need to get back into breakfast and drinking plenty of water and being all round less of a hog with more discipline. As Rob would say, this is a choice, I am capable of changing this, I need only to apply myself.
Tonight, Jon was back, big turn out tonight, the new girl Nina was back with a friend for support. SO well done to them, and in fact everyone who turned out tonight, few bib changes from the test last week, well done Kelly. I was 2 mins 4 secs over dropping a bib colour. This is entirely achievable, I saw my times flag from those dreaded burpees, which I still havent cracked yet, Im just too much of a fat knacker. However, I did manage to jump out the feet this time, whereas before I just pushed them out and stood up. I believe therefore, a morning session daily of doing burpees will do me the world of good.
Josh was back on his obsession with squats and thighs, we had these nasty resistance squats, combined with running up hill and then squats, then lunges, bunny hops and russian walks. I felt a twinge in the groin area on this one, so a hot water bottle is in order.
I definitely feel that it is a good group of people now at Jacksons, people are so friendly and willing to spur you on, when you feel you cant do any more. It is all round a great environment to improve your fitness. I still dont have a bad word to say. I no longer suffer for days after with soreness, though personally I am suffering cramping at night time in my right calf.
I can see I have improved, I feel I have improved and its fantastic, getting out there of an evening to train, instead of sitting indoors and watching the telly.
