Who Would You Like To Meet

Given all the impossible factors about time and place, who would you like to meet with? I’ll give you a free hand, so it can be anybody from the past and language is not a barrier.

Depending on your personality there will be a variety of answers all based upon you, for instance, a famous artist or actor, a holy man, someone from your deceased family, sports personality, or comedian. Of course, there is no right or wrong here, but think about the opportunity.

For me in particular, there is no value in meeting a family member long since past. If I did, having spent time with them, probably, there would be some resolution or regret that would need sorting. My loved ones are firmly entrenched in my mind. However, I realise for some, especially recent losses it would be a first choice.

My answer would be a few but I’ll try and add depth to them after:
Bruce Lee
Buddha
Jesus
King Ramses
God
That’s a weird and eclectic collection of names for you, I will try and elaborate.

Bruce Lee, perhaps the greatest martial artist ever, bringing him back to now would be fascinating in as much as his skill was high, but given evolution and his capacity for learning he would have been incredible, and to discuss theories and philosophies on martial arts would be phenomenal. To experience the speed and question some of the holes that people have attempted to fill in is a chance that anybody in martial arts would take.

The Buddhist philosophy appeals in its nature and the teachings were way beyond the time, again to see the world in modern eyes and reappraise that philosophy would be wonderful, the minute something is captured on paper it loses a part of the translation, equally as does video. But to actually be able to question and test your understanding of the situation. Fabulous.

Jesus is a no brainer, 2000 years of christian religion, but I would be more interested in himself than teachings, I would be interested in his feelings on betrayal and the knowledge of his death and resurrection (depending on your beliefs), what was his personality, question and dig around the miracles of the time.

King Ramses is perhaps unusual but those of you who know me would clearly understand, this is about knowledge of building, and the toolset to build such icons as the pyramids coupled with astrological knowledge beyond the years. I would like to see how badly treated the slaves, for the building, were. How on earth did those levels of accuracy get achieved?

Lastly for me God (or however you choose to refer to him, or not). I would have two simple requirements here, firstly the question surrounding the big bang and the actual existence of the universe and I would love the see the world through the eyes of the creator, not as we see it but as it was intended and the whole system. I would not ask questions about the future or what might be worth learning or cures. I would mostly, want to sit and bask in the radiance of peace and infinity.
